Queenie's

"Pan Tropical Specialties" last Friday evening at Queenie's, a new(ish)-in-our-neighbourhood eatshop brought to us by the good folks behind the other 'hood favourites - The Norfolk, The Carrington and The Forresters.

Pulled Pork & Pineapple Bammies. Prawn & Mango Bammies. Coconut Soft Shell Crabs (deep-fried food = YEAH!). Lamington-like Jerk Corn-On-The-Cob on a stick. Octopus & Tabouleh Salad. Jerk Chicken & Jungle Slaw (it was so full of smoky jerk-y goodness that we ordered a second big platter!). And Kingston Creme Doughnuts (a jerk-flavoured dessert! Woo!) All shared with our favourite next-street neighbours, Ms Carpet and K-Pop in a cosy dining room with booth seating(!) and crammed full of kitschy-cool shit! It's so nice to have food-loving pals to eat our way around the neighbourhood with!
