Sam + Suzy

This is what I would have worn if the screening of Moonrise Kingdom we went to over the weekend was one of those dress-up-à-la-The-Rocky-Horror-Show things. A little bit of Sam + a little bit of Suzy.

The shirt is an old secondhand Australian Cub Scouts uniform from my tiny collection. Love all the different award badges! And finding the names of previous owners scrawled in magic marker on the tags! It would be so cool if I can get my hands on one of those Khaki Scout of North America (K.S.N.A) ones specifically designed and made for the movie.

The wicker basket is not the one that I bought this time last year. The old leather strap broke because it didn't like the new strap that I added on. Boo. But it's alright. This one which I also found on Ebay earlier this year came with a cross-body strap already attached. Yay!

I hope a pal of mine throws a Moonrise Kingdom-theme party soon because look, my costume is ready and waiting! But not before I make myself one of them cute K.S.N.A raccoon mascot insignia patches from felt.
