This was shot last week (but I didn't post it) and I wore the same things again today. Looking at the state of the Autumn/Winter stock in the shops, I think I'll be wearing a lot of my old things over and over again this season.
Not that I need new things for the colder months ahead - what I have from seasons past don't look like they've just escaped from a buried fashion time capsule (not talking about my vintage pieces here) and there are quite a few of those still with their hang tags on. But it'll be nice to find some new pieces to add to the old mix to, you know, stir things up a little? I have pictures of them in my head but they are nowhere to be found in the shops. And they are pure basics, nothing fancy! Frustrating.
And I feel real sorry for my pal The Powerpuff who flies here every year specifically to shop. Shop we did but our score charts are looking damn abysmal! Nothing popped in the shops. I mean, why buy things that are similar to those I already have in my closet? Yawn.

I agree. Nothing out there has made my heart sing. I am pretty happy with my op shop finds. People keep asking me where I am getting stuff, so am assuming people are pretty fed up with what's in the shops new.

I think op shops are the best! There's always something to buy. I've just picked up a shaggy number. Will show-and-tell soon.
