I could not resist taking this box of colourful kitschness home with me from the catering supplies store last week!To add some gay garnish to the mojitos (delicious!) that Ms Carpet and her A-Man offered to make at our Mardi Gras Parade-viewing party on Saturday evening.
But I didn't think we were going to drink 144 cocktails in one night.
So I made some gay garlands (used 72 of them)...
...and "flags" for the food (photos of them on the food platters coming soon).And we still had loads left because we gave up putting them in the mojito glasses as people were complaining about getting their eyes poked. Haha.

you won't believe this! i wanted to send this to you together with the calendar but the store ran out of these little umbrellas and i was so disappointed. so i headed to the post office without them.
i thought you'll love these for the Mardi Gras Parade viewing party but well, it worked out that you bought them too! psychic powers! XO

I'll have to think of what you can do with the old pages...they're too beautiful to be thrown away isn't it? I'll let u know when I come up/across with any ideas meanwhile, i hope you do too! XO
A reader Glowing Doll suggested decoupage. And I was thinking of that too. Haha.
But I think the first thing I'll "make" is some wrapping paper. And cards. Easy-to-make things first. xx
