Brown Paper Packages Stitched Up With Strings

"One of these things don't belong here..." - didn't bother re-wrapping the thing in the yellow bag which came with the purchase. Just added holes, ribbon and tag.

Very pleased that I've crossed out almost all the names on my Christmas shopping list! Two more to go and the panic will be over!

Nearly done wrapping them too! I love to gift-wrap! I find it very calming, like most activities that require repeated action.

Using brown paper and string again this year. Brown paperbags with gnomes wearing clogs! Because they are from Sweden (Ikea)?

Things that couldn't fit into the gnome bags get the usual plain paper treatment.

Decided to "stitch" the bags shut this year with green string instead of wasting double-sided tape (I'm anal. I hate exposed Scotchtape on gift-wrapping and only use the double-sided ones).

It's easy and fun! Punch some holes and thread string or ribbon through.

Fragile things that are going in the mail to faraway places in bubble wrap get real stitches with needle and thread.

Didn't think I'd want to sew again so soon after the months of sewing but I guess I already miss it.

Hello yAnn!
Tee hee hee. We bought only the packs of gift bags. Would have preferred them in rolls but Ikea only started stocking those weeks after we bought heaps of the bags. Bah!

Hope you're having as fun gift-wrapping! xx

I hate having exposed sticy tape on the wrapping too. And I can't help but go tsk tsk if I receive a gift that has exposed tape. It just doesnt look right!!!

Thank you, Top Bird! It's a simplified idea that's evolved from the more complicated original. I didn't have enough time but I will start early next Christmas. Tee hee hee. xx
