Shruggy-scarf thing - secondhand Dries van Noten, Dress - A.P.C. (old but the new range is in store!), Clogs - Funkis, Necklace - The Empress Dowager's New JewelsSaturday's Spring-like conditions continued way into Sunday! It's just too good to be true. Could be that litte bit of calm before the storm. Boo.
Showing off some blinding light-reflecting white winter chicken legs sans tights/jeans/trousers here. All the way to Ikea, a forty-minute car ride to a suburb far far away.
They didn't have jam jars in the size that I wanted. Maybe they never had them before and the perfect jars were just a figment of my imagination. The spice jars that they did have would have to do - blood orange marmalade, here I come!
Didn't come home with much other "rubbish-y" things that weren't on our list this time. Ikea, like record shops, are evil places that breed rampant consumaterialism.
We stopped at one of favourite "junk" shops on the way home and fell in love with these like we did with some green ones some time ago at the same shop...
This is something we need - our hunt for a set of two reasonably-priced low back armchairs from the good old days has not been fruitful and these comfortable old dames might just do the trick, we thought.
We excitedly went home with the measurements we took at the shop and realised we thought wrong - these lovelies were to big for the tiny space that they are meant to fill. Disappointed again. Bah.

Stop looking so cute. Oh OK then, carry on!
Guess what? APC have finally opened up a stand-alone shop in London. Opposite Dover Street Market. It's All. Too. Much. xx
Yummmm, blood orange marmalade, my absolute favourite!!!
Hey Top Bird,
Haha! I really should start dressing my age, huh?
I am GREEN with envy! You people in London! You get the best of everything! Hrmmmpphhh!
It'll be bad for the purse to be near that street! Two super shops across the way from each other!
An APC feature on Wee Birdy soon? xx
Helloooo Icy!
They are in season now! Lugged ours all the way back from a market in Canberra. Haha.
If the batch turns out good, might do a little giveaway on the blog. Will let you know if I do. x
If you are after chairs you should stake out suburbs during council clean ups. One morning I walked out of the house and my dream set of retro chairs with wooden frame in an immaculate condition were sitting on the footpath.
Was in a hurry and immediately rang home to tell the folks to come outside and keep them aside for me :)
Hey Yu,
Would love to see pictures of your new-old chairs!
I'm afraid we don't have a car at our disposal all the time which makes staking out on council clean up days a bit difficult.
But our pals do that pretty often, in the richie-rich Eastern suburbs and they've found some great stuff! The things people throw out! They found an old Laminex table recently and they're giving it to us for our balcony. Yay! x
