Detour

Another silly thing I like doing on road trips is looking at Big Things. How touristy, I know, but their kitschy-ness is such a draw!

We turned off the Pacific Highway enroute to Surfers' Paradise to try to find the Big Redback Spider in Logan. Couldn't locate it even with directions from the police along the way. Every road in these country towns look the same!

But found a Salvos instead. Woohoo!




A pretty big one. And again, some of the old furniture got to me - the chairs in particular. Of course we couldn't pack them into the tiny rental. We really have to hire a ute next time.
