Today's Colour Theme for Shopping

Not at all planned but most of the things I bought today at the Surry Hills Market are in various shades of blue. Maybe it's the unexpected cloudless blue sky on an autumn day like today that's sending me colour-coded messages subliminally.

This stall-owner had a whole trestle table covered with original 1950s blouses in pretty pastels, all new, never been worn! At AU$10 each, I bought a few, all in the same shade of turquoise-y blue, all with loads and loads of ruffles. My favourite is this hostess blouse with the cutest of sleeves.

I love the contrasting electric blue piping on this emerald green snakeskin vintage handbag.

The lazy boyfriend got lucky too. He slept in instead of going with me but I got him this blue-grey 1970s made-to-measure-for-someone-else jacket and it fitted like it was made for him. I love the gigantic lapels. Might steal it off him and wear it in its oversized glory some time.
